A Florida man was arrested after making a phone call to 911 after his mobile phone ran out of credit. Joshua Basso, the genius pictured below called the number he always knew would be free and asked the operator about her breasts before she hung up on him.
Unperturbed, he called back and was hung up on thrice before police arrested him at his house. Not only is he a contender for GQ‘s Man of the Year, he has an impressive résumé of priors, including grand theft of a motor vehicle, violation of probation, domestic violence battery, possession of marijuana, trespassing and burglary.
So everyone gets a little lonely sometimes, but that’s what the Internet and 24-hour supermarkets were invented for. Mr Basso’s fatal flaw was not having a post-paid telephone plan. No woman – real or imagined – wants to hear the words, “I didn’t have any credit.” Trust me, I’ve added it to my list of requirements for potential suitors, along with having a current driver’s license, a steady income and a clean sexual health record.
