This gives a whole meaning to ‘digging around your plate for peas’. A young designer, Vladimir Rachev—who is originally Bulgarian but now lives in the United Kingdom—has created a novel cutlery set named ‘Soil’. Shortlisted in the ‘Dining in 2015 ‘ competition, his interpretation of modern flatware as garden implements is a witty reference to food production originating from agriculture.
With a shovel, a pitchfork and a trowel, like all good guests at a dinner party, there’s no sign of a hoe.
