If you’re in London this week, you must pop down to Cox Cookies & Cake for three of my favourite things. Get your mind out of the gutter—the store is the new venture of shoe designer Patrick Cox with Eric Lanlard, London’s finest cake maker. For this year’s World AIDS day (1 December), the new Soho bakery has created limited edition ‘Elton Cakes’ that will be raising funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Garnished with handmade glitter-covered dark chocolate star-shaped sunglasses, the cupcakes come in two flavours—Madagascan vanilla and triple Valrhona chocolate. Priced at £4 each, £1.50 from each sale will go to the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Together we can cake a difference!
