As any discerning gentleman would know, it’s hard to beat a snifter of whisky in the evening. In the days of yore, house slippers, a velour smoking gown and a pipe would have completed the look; that’s before gangrenous limbs and rotting teeth appeared on the sides of tobacco packets. Blackened appendages are only desirable when served up on a plate doused in barbecue marinade and not when they were attached to you formerly.
As part of Milan Design Week in April 2011, London-based designer, Sebastian Bergne has designed “Pipe Glass” in conjunction with Pigr’ Milan. Featured in the “Blow by Blow 2011″ exhibition, the pipe-shaped glass takes the preexisting notion of a drinking vessel and sends it up in smoke.
