Hotel Minibar Stocks Food for the Mind

A late-night minibar raid usually results in an overpriced packet of Pringles and a miniature bottle of vodka that barely touches the sides. If you’re anything like me, a club sandwich from room service is always an essential addition, however, it often ends up forgotten, cold in the corner after a forty-five-minute wait, much like the careers of most of the cast of Full House.

In a partnership between Morgans Hotel Group (best known for their Los Angeles Mondrian and London’s Sanderson in St Martins Lane properties) and The School of Life have created a Minibar for the Mind; “a midnight feast of intellect, inspiration and ideas.” Presented in beautiful boxed packaging, it contains fodder for thought provocation, discussion and general enlightenment.

Each kit contains:

CONVERSATION STARTERS
Fuel conversation: A box set of 250 cards featuring questions, quotations and provocations to start tongues wagging.

COLLECTED THOUGHTS
Feed your brain: A volume of the best columns written by The School of Life’s faculty and friends.

READING PRESCRIPTIONS
Drink in these words:   Two tailor-made reading prescriptions from The School of Life’s Bibliotherapists designed to evoke moods of relaxation or seduction.

DREAMS & FEARS NOTEBOOK with WRITER’S BLOCK PENCIL SET
Pour out your thoughts: An open book and a blank page to write down your dreams and fears.

Each Minibar for the Mind can be purchased in-room for $56 or via the internet, a healthy investment for those with an intellectual appetite.
