Down the Dining Rabbit Hole: “Alice in Wonderland”-themed Restaurant

Have you been struggling for a way to make someone think they have eaten magic mushrooms without going to the trouble and potential illegality of actually buying them? Look no further. Fantastic Design Works Co has designed not one, but four entire restaurants to evoke Alice in Wonderland. ”And where would such a wondrous thing have happened?” I hear you scream. Well it wasn’t Coober Pedy. Where else could it be but Ginza, Tokyo?

Described as not only a labyrinth of fantasy dining, the restaurant is also (somehow) “Gothic & Lolita as a concept” and serves thirty different types of amuse-bouche. You don’t want to eat a full-sized meal when you’re dressed as a caterpillar now, do you? The food is Alice-themed (crackers that look like playing cards anyone?) and almost  too cute to eat but don’t worry, you’ll be ogling the army of waitresses dressed like Alice and the bunny tails on the chairs anyway.

Next time you’re in Ginza looking for that special je-ne-surreal-quoi, do yourself a favour and book.

I do believe there’s more for you to read:
