US company, Blu Cigs has just released a new electronic cigarette pack designed to connect smokers with each other (in case the huddling on balconies in the cold or heat was not enough to draw you together). Each of the special cigarette packs features a tiny chip that emits a signal that can be detected by other packs. It’s like Grindr for smokers but less … classy. When a pack gets within fifty feet of another, a blue light will flash and the pack will vibrate so that its holder knows another Blu Cigs smoker is near. As if this thrill were not enough, the packs also allow the two smokers to exchange contact details from social networking sites automatically. Eventually, maybe Blu Cigs users will only breed with each other!
You are naturally wondering what is actually in these cigarettes. They come in cherry, menthol, java and classic tobacco flavours and you can choose what level of nicotine you want or even none at all. Vive le choix ! Blu Cigs are also working on a system which will track how much users are smoking (so that they can boast to each other or enter rehab at the same time).
US$80 for a pack of five e-cigarettes seems so reasonable for this bounty, no? And should you miss the enjoyment of really crumpling your butt in the ashtray, these magnets, will help ease the pain and look pretty decent on your fridge.
