Do you suffer from menu envy? When dining out, does everyone else order ten times better than you? Do you sometimes just want to ask for the crouton on the side and no garnish because you are worried about how it will all come together and it is making you so anxious you are about to pop? Something like this:
Well fear not: it’s totally normal and you are still just as cute as a button, but now someone has come up with a way to soothe your jangled nerves.
London’s Inamo restaurant is now projecting pictures of menu items onto diners’ tables while they are selecting their food. Using projectors installed in the ceiling and a touch mousepad on the table, diners can navigate the interactive menu as well as place their orders and choose their table surface. There’s also a live webcam feed of the kitchen, and they can play games with other diners. One need never speak with one’s dining companions again!
Editor’s Note: Still no word on whether this solves the problem of how to get the phone number of the cute waiter or waitress but perhaps you will have to fend for yourself on this one. “What time do you finish?” is an oldie but sometimes the classics endure for a reason.
