Do you have a proclivity for folding paper? Have you the nimble digital dexterity to make an upright piano out of a leaf the size of a pocket square? No? Neither. It all sounds a little like hard work. The Japanese art of origami should be left to those who have mastered it: the Japanese. Or, of course, the shirting company, Fred Perry.
Their new Blank Canvas range incorporates the ancient of pliable paper into the manufacturing process of the capsule collection of three different shirts. Applying origami techniques to the seams and folds of the design, the printed fabric harks the ornate patterning of beautifully wrapped parcels from the East. All without paper cuts.
