Why do so many people seem to lack good bathroom etiquette? Why are they unable to clean up after themselves?
James A., Northcote, VIC
Because they were raised by wolves who then shunned by them due to their appalling behaviour, leaving them to fend for themselves. If they were given a bucket and a sponge, perhaps they would think differently about leaving a mess for someone else to clean up. If you feel strongly about the mater, start your own restroom vigilante and maybe ask George Michael for some tips. Actually … don’t.

Is it rude that I turn my television up super loud so I don’t have to hear my husband’s conversations on the phone?
Janice, Twitter
It’s considerate of you to give him his privacy, but perhaps he should be even more considerate and take his calls in the other room. Or maybe he could save his mother’s club meetings for the pub.

Is it okay for me to wear the chai symbol if I’m not Jewish? I just really like its shape.
Anne-Marie, Twitter
Many do it and as long as you’re being culturally sensitive and you’re wearing it for the right reasons and aware of its significance, then sure. However, remember the swastika was originally a Hindu symbol adopted by the Nazis, and look how that turned out.
