A little while ago, our friend, Nicolas Randall directed a short film by the name of Made in Queens. It told the story of young teenagers with pimped-out bicycles with sound systems worth more than the steel frame that accommodated them. Admittedly, they’re pretty hard to drag race and near impossible to pick up chicks with unless she doesn’t mind sharing the handlebars with a subwoofer and is already hard of hearing.

Perhaps artist, Floyd A. Davis IV has the solution? He old vintage trunks and luggage and makes them into boomboxes … naturally! His latest project is vintage Christian Dior suitcases, which for $900 a piece of an edition of 30 are a pretty fashionable idea for the more bespoke of break dancers. BYO cardboard mat.
