Heinz Home Delivers Doses of Personalised Prescriptions

With social media creeping into our real lives even more, social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter have become forums for airing one’s grievances. Sure a little collective sympathy might soothe the ego, but what can it do for a razor-sharp throat?

Now Heinz United Kingdom combines reality and the internet to give ailing consumers a good dose of TLC and Jewish penicillin. Facebook users can send a real can of “Get Well Soon” Heinz soup—either cream of chicken or cream of tomato—to their friend with a personalised message for £1.99, delivered in three to four days.

Not so good for a twenty-four-hour virus, possibly not the most sensitive for someone diagnosed with a terminal illness, however, perhaps a tongue-in-cheek congratulations for someone who has recently contracted chlamydia.
