Urban Survival: Guns, Germs & $teal

According to Professor Jared Diamond, human civilisation and the success of certain tribes has relied on three factors: guns, germs and steel. While we like to think it comes down to good breeding, high cheekbones and charm, his book of the same name discusses the various global tribes and their tactics surrounding weaponry, immunity to disease and technological advancement.

Many millennia later, how little has changed. LA label, Guns, Germs & $teal combines old-world relics and makes them into edgy streetwear accessories. With a take on the Victorian fob chain, forged from brass and converted into a penknife holder, cigarette lighter and knuckleduster bottle opener, these brass objects have some serious cred. Likewise their brass wallet and cigarette case, with its vintage fabric lining and personalised message imprinted on the outside, it resembles gold bullion with understated grit in the battle that is the survival of the fittest. Occupy your pocket.
