Here at I Do Believe I Came with a Hat we’re only too willing to admit that we like all things equestrian and with the recent Spring Racing Carnival it’s only ignited horse fever, which might be a direct correlation to the itchy eyes and impending addiction to Phenergan. Just around the corner is the Paspaley Polo in the City in Melbourne, where the nation’s best pearls and thoroughbreds (and the horses!) come together in the interest of the sport of the kings, socialising and reenacting your favourite Pretty Woman moment.
Of course, much like the Races, part of the fun of the polo is the marquee circuit. This year, Coopers, the beer you roll before you consume, will be the marquee the general public can access by purchasing tickets in advance. Those who purchase prior to Friday 26 November will go into the draw to win their own VIP package at Paspaley Polo in the City valued at $650, which includes:
- reserved seating in the Coopers Bar for 4 people;
- a meet-and-greet with Sam Hopkinson, voted by Vanity Fair as among the world’s top ten most handsome polo players and all-round stud;
- a priority pass to the Nutrimetics Pamper Lounge and Alphamale Grooming Lounge;
- a double pass to Warhorse, the new Stephen Spielberg Movie due for release on 26 December;
- an $80 voucher for food and beverages at the Coopers Bar; and
- a Paspaley Polo in the City gift pack valued at $373, comprising of a silk Polo en la Ciudad tie and cufflink set, as well as 2 official Paspaley Polo in the City caps.
We’re pleased to announce that we are giving two double passes away to the Coopers Bar at the Paspaley Polo in the City event on Saturday, 3 December 2011, worth over $70 per ticket, which include canapés, cash bar and entry to the official after party. All you have to do to enter is send an email to polo@icamewithahat.com and tell us in 25 words or less what your ultimate polo outfit would comprise.
Entries close Friday, 18 November 2011 and will be judged on the quality of the responses. Both winners will be announced on Monday, 21 November 2011. Good luck!
