In Short

Short and sweet, here are the pressing issues (well, some of them) for your Agony Uncle this week.

Is it polite or not to leave food on plate?

You should always eat what is elegantly sufficient. If you can’t fit in a stitch more then there’s no harm in leaving it behind, but if you’re averse to a particular dish, move it around a bit so it looks like you’ve at least attached it. If the plate you’re referring to is in fact a serving dish, it’s frowned upon to take the whole turkey.

Why aren’t you supposed to wear white after Labor Day?

Simple: Because Kathleen Turner will kill you.
