Every gentleman of refinement must own a decent pair of house slippers; and although, for some they might seem like a relic of the past, memories of being chased down the hallway by one’s elders for not having them on might have taken years of counselling to repress, they’re certainly worth the investment.
Typically procrastinating by online shopping, we found these little puppies from Ted Baker. The Rubra Pipe Slippers come in black velvet with royal purple quilted lining and embroidery—a British bulldog (of course) on the left shoe and a pipe on the right. Best of all they’re on sale and we couldn’t help but share. Normally £50 (AUD 84.50 / USD 90.90) they’ve been reduced to £35 (AUD 59.15 / USD 63.63).
Certainly worth investigating, if only to look somewhat eccentric when sipping brandy from a balloon or fetching the newspaper from the letterbox in the morning.
